State House, Banjul, 13th August 2025: The public is hereby informed that the President of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency Adama Barrow, has declared Friday, 15th August 2025, as a public holiday throughout the country to observe the Christian feast of Assumption Day, commonly known as ‘Sang Marie.’

On behalf of the government, the President wishes the Christian community a joyous celebration.
