President Barrow Continues The Presentation of Ambulances on Day Three of MTP Tour

President Adama Barrow has called on young people to take up skills education saying the transformation of the country rest on their knowledge and innovation. He was speaking on day three of the Meet the People Tour Wednesday, in Panchang and Nyangen, in CRR. 
 

President Barrow said skilled people are invaluable to the development of any society. He called on the youths to acquire skills for self-reliance and economic independence. 

“When you learn a trade, you will create a job for yourself and can also employ others,” said President Barrow. 

 

President Barrow said his government is investing in skills and vocational education for young people to equip themselves with the knowledge and tools to help develop the country. President Barrow said there will be enough power supply in the country by 2023 to meet the demand for electricity for all industries. 

 

President Barrow started the day at the Holistic Agribusiness Solutions, with a mixed farming education center in Ballingho, near Farafenni. The President applauded the initiative saying arming young people with skills in agriculture will help the country attain its objective for sufficiency in food production. 

 

President Barrow also visited the North Bank Roads construction sites to see the progress made since his last visit. The first stop was at the Saba Sukoto Bambali road, followed by the Kaur Jimbala and the Kerr Gibi Nyanga Bantang road construction site.

 

At the meetings in Panchang and Nyangen, President Barrow presented ambulances to the Alkalos of the host communities for the Community Ambulance Service. Two ambulances each were presented to host communities in Lower Saloum and Upper Saloum Constituencies. And at Nyangen, two each were also presented to the host communities for Nianija, Niani and Sami constituencies.
