State House, Banjul, 22nd May 2025: The Office of the President wishes to inform the public that Sunday 25th May 2025 marks the commemoration of Africa Day, formerly African Liberation Day.

In view of the fact that 25th May 2025 falls on a Sunday, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of The Gambia, has declared Monday 26th May 2025 as a public holiday throughout the country.
