State House, Banjul, 27th February 2024: His Excellency President Adama Barrow continues to receive congratulatory messages on the 59th Independence Day Anniversary celebration of the Republic of The Gambia.
His Excellency President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China, on behalf of his government and the Chinese People, extended a hearty congratulatory message of best wishes for a prosperous nation to the government and the people of The Gambia. He reiterated the strong ties of trust and mutually beneficial relationships that characterised China -Gambia relations. Also, He renewed his commitment to promote their cooperation and friendship to a new level.
Meanwhile, on behalf of all the institutions of ECOWAS, the President of the Commission, Dr Omar Alieu Touray, expressed delight in extending his warm congratulations to President Barrow and the People of The Gambia. He also recognised President Barrow's tireless efforts for the sustainable development of The Gambia and in consolidating democracy, peace, and good governance in the sub-region
