State House, Banjul, 18th March 2026: In anticipation of the Muslim feast of Eid ul-Fitr, the Office of the President hereby informs the public that His Excellency Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia, is pleased to declare Thursday, 19th March and Friday, 20th March 2026 as public holidays nationwide in observance of Eid ul-Fitr, locally known as “Koriteh.” The exact day of the celebration will be determined by the official announcement of the sighting of the moon by the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council.

His Excellency President Barrow extends his warmest Eid greetings to all Gambians on behalf of the Government and the First Family.
