President Adama Barrow presented ambulances to Jimara and Fuladu East Constituencies for the Community Ambulance Service on day four of the Meet the People Tour on Thursday in Basse, saying no pregnant woman should be taken to hospital on an animal drawn-cart again.

Amidst a huge crowd and rousing welcome, President Barrow thanked the people of Jimara and Fuladu East for their support and cooperation. He called on the people to make good use of the ambulances advising that they belong to the cluster of communities.

President Barrow also informed the gathering about his Office’s Programme for Accelerated Community Development allocation of tractors, power tillers and milking machines to several communities in the region.
He said the distribution of the farming implements is part of his government's agricultural strategy to enhance local food production to cut imports.
