President Barrow Receives Senegalese Chief of Defence Staff

His Excellency, President Adama Barrow, Friday received the Senegalese Chief of Defence Staff General Cheikh Wade and other senior Senegalese Military officials at the State House in Banjul.
 

Following his audience with President Barrow, General Wade stated that he was in The Gambia to meet with the Senegalese ECOMIG contingent. He added that the peace and security of The Gambia and Senegal are essential components in the two sisterly nations' relations.


General Wade commended President Barrow for taking the time to meet with him and his delegation, adding the Gambia-Senegal bond is growing stronger.


The delegation included General Brigadier Fulgence Ndour, Colonel Mactar Diop, Colonel Diadie Diop and Medical Colonel Abdoul Aziz Ndiaye, Colonel Magatte Ba, Colonel Jean Dieme, Colonel Magatte Ndiaye, Lv. El Hadji Alioune Ndiaye and Cal. Aby Diouf.


Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Gambia Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yakuba A. Drammeh, accompanied them to the State House. The Defence Minister, Sheikh Omar Faye and Deputy Secretary General at the Office of the President, Salimatta Touray, were also present.
